Within the IT sector, Ezequiel Conil has built his reputation on the value of his skills and his experience. He is capable of motivating and inspiring others to plan bigger and do more because underneath his passion for technology, there are decades of real-world problem-solving. He has, for twenty years, served organizations effectively, protecting businesses through precise and intelligent implementation of the latest IT tools.
In his current role, at Plaza Construction, Ezequiel has served as the IT Director. Since taking on this role in 2019, he has overseen large-scale efforts to deploy Cisco Meraki wireless systems, a VDI implementation with Microsoft Azure, and the introduction of Microsoft Teams. It was the latter tool that proved most impactful the soonest, as the company came to rely heavily on Microsoft Teams immediately before the Covid-19 pandemic began.
At Plaza Construction, Ezequiel has also led multiple streamlining initiatives aimed at general productivity. He has handled such varying projects as procurement and service desk upkeep. On top of that, he has adopted multiple policies on behalf of the organization, in order to push the organization’s strategic vision forward and to provide stability in both the short term and the long term. That is the way that he works, taking simultaneously a wide view of the business situation and a close-up, detailed examination of what his teams need in order to thrive.
Prior to joining Plaza Construction, Ezequiel was the Virtual Client Advisor at United Data Technologies from 2016 to 2019. He managed service contracts for 22 different clients. During this time, his day-to-day encompassed many different responsibilities, such as support, delivery, and administration. His time at the company was successful, seeing a full Citrix redesign, improvements in efficiencies and profits, and the development of an organization-wide three-year plan for strategy and budgeting.
Ezequiel was the Technical Director of Loxia Technologies from 2013 to 2016 and the IT Director of Access Medical Group from 2012 to 2013. Earlier in his career, he was also a Senior Consultant at GO! HealthCare, Inc., where he led a niche team of IT professionals advising world-class brands, including Burger King. He also acted as a trainer in the early 2000s, maintaining a million-dollar contract for Universal Computer Systems when he was less than a year out of his undergraduate studies. A graduate of Pennsylvania State University, he finished his Bachelor of Science in Operations and Information Systems Management in 2002.
Among the many technologies that Ezequiel has mastered are Windows Servers (2016 and 2019), VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V for virtualization, multiple firewall configuration platforms (such as Cisco ASAs, Cisco Meraki, Sonicwall, Watchdog, and FortiNet. He has also worked with voice technologies, wireless technologies, switches, routers, both Windows and Mac, and anti-virus solutions (such as Carbon Black, Windows Defender, and VIPRE). A dedicated IT guru, Ezequiel is picking up new tools and enablers constantly, knowing from all his years in the field that the right piece of knowledge can make a difference.
